I am Kawtar, a 6-month-old baby girl living in Adrar, Algeria. I am often described as having magnificent big black eyes, a charming smile, and an angelic face. What people do not know is that I suffer from an illness affecting my airways that requires an urgent transplant. I need you.

My parents have sought international help because I require urgent surgery that is not available in my country, for technical and logistical reasons.

On 7 February, I was admitted to the emergency room due to severe breathing difficulties, likely caused by compression of my airways. A liver transplant is necessary, and my mother is ready to be my donor.

I must be able to cover my medical care and other essential needs for my comfort once there.

We contacted the organization "Chirurgies sans frontières - SOS Greffe" to oversee my transfer and raise funds. These funds will cover my care and essential needs once in Turkey, where I will be treated in an accredited facility. I am grateful to Lunes, the President of this organization, as well as to everyone who contributes to my treatment.

My parents gave me the name Kawtar, which means "abundance", "wealth", and "river of Paradise". I am counting on your generosity to support me and my family through this difficult ordeal.
