A liver transplant for Abdel

Abdel has left us. This fundraiser is now closed. We thank from the bottom of our hearts all those who mobilized for him.

A 3-month-old baby facing illness

Abdel was only 3 months old. Barely arrived in this world, he already had to face a terrible ordeal: biliary atresia, a rare disease that attacks the liver and is life-threatening.

The need for a transplant

Abdel urgently needed a liver transplant. This care could not be provided in his country. A solution existed in Turkey, but the costs were far beyond his family's means.

His parents were living through a very difficult situation. They watched their baby weaken, day after day, unable to single-handedly finance the treatment that could save him.

The mobilization

Abdel was hospitalized, and his condition required a quick reaction. This fundraiser was launched to help him get to Turkey and access the necessary care. Thanks to you, €91,927 were raised on the partner platform CotizUp.

The evolution of his situation

Abdel fought for his life in the pediatric hospital, while his family and the association took steps for passports, then the invitation and visa necessary for his transfer to Turkey.

His condition then severely deteriorated: his TP was very low, and his vital functions were starting to fail. His mother's heart was broken by her son's condition.
