Wiam is an exceptional little girl born with an exceptional disease!!

Wiam is an exceptional little girl born with an exceptional illness!!

She lives in Algeria where she is being treated for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), a rare syndrome characterized by a lack of function in certain immune system cells that are normally responsible for protecting the body against microbial infections.

Wiam suffers, and her family suffers with her, because Wiam gets no respite! This little girl was born and grew up with the disease: painful mouth ulcers, acute bronchiolitis, recurrent lung infections, to name just a few. Most of the time, she is hospitalized far from home.

Rachid, her father, has no plan B left. He sold everything—house, car, jewelry—to finance his daughter's initial care and allow her to still be with us today.

Rachid devotes an absolute love to his daughter Wiam. He does not give up despite all the hardships he has encountered; mentally, Rachid is rock-solid. And God knows over all these years how much he has watched his daughter suffer continuously, but he does not surrender. Where many would have given up, Rachid bounces back every time, knocking again and again on every door, his hope of curing his daughter remaining unshakable.

Wherever Wiam is, Rachid is there. Everyone knows Rachid and his determination. Today, let us give him the means to care for his daughter, God willing, by helping to fund a bone marrow transplant through your donations. And above all, give Wiam and Rachid a semblance of life and some rest in this endless battle.

Today, Wiam has grown, but her illness is still there and puts her life in danger.

She clings to life while other children suffering from the same condition have sadly passed away. How much longer will she hold on?

Wiam has developed extraordinary resilience in the face of these extremely difficult living conditions, which we have chosen not to show so as not to shock anyone.
