Let's save Hidaya's life ❤️‍🩹

Hidaya is a little girl, 3 years old. In March 2024, she underwent a liver transplant following biliary atresia.

Unfortunately, two months after this transplant, Hidaya began to suffer from rectorrhagia, meaning bleeding from the rectum. Over the months, these hemorrhages became more and more frequent, abundant, and dangerous, causing severe anemia and requiring numerous blood transfusions.

For nearly a year, her family underwent multiple examinations, both in Turkey and Morocco: fibroscopies, colonoscopies, intestinal scintigraphies, Doppler ultrasounds, and angio-CT scans. These examinations finally revealed the presence of a portal cavernoma, a serious complication that can lead to significant gastrointestinal hemorrhages.

Today, Hidaya's condition is very concerning. The bleeding can occur suddenly, without warning, and in most cases, it is very difficult to stop despite treatments and transfusions. Each crisis represents a vital danger for this little girl.

In Morocco, unfortunately, the appropriate care for her condition does not exist. Hidaya needs specialized surgical intervention: either a spleno-renal shunt derivation or a meso-Rex bypass.

The total estimated cost is 50,000 €. The intervention itself costs approximately 20,000 €. The remainder of the amount covers essential ancillary costs: hospitalization, examinations, care, treatments, medical follow-up, transportation, as well as possible intensive care if Hidaya's condition were to worsen.

If intensive care or certain additional costs were ultimately not necessary, the remaining money will be donated to another patient in need, so that every donation can continue to save a life 🤲

Hidaya's family unfortunately does not have the means to finance such a sum alone. They have been fighting for months, between examinations, hospitals, transfusions, and constant anxiety. Today, they need our solidarity.

Together, we can help her have a chance to live, grow, and find a more peaceful childhood 🤍
