Hajar was diagnosed when she was just 4 days old. This 3-year-old little girl, born in Morocco, suffers from biliary atresia. She has faced back-to-back hospitalizations since birth.
Currently hospitalized for severe respiratory distress, Hajar's life is in danger now more than ever. If a liver transplant is not performed as soon as possible, she faces the worst. Let us help her get her childhood back and bring hope to her destitute parents. 🚨
Despite her illness, Hajar is a very smiling little girl, which has repeatedly amazed her doctors who are rarely accustomed to this. Lately, however, Hajar has been showing signs of exhaustion and is no longer able to manage her stress. 😔"
As invasive care is always a painful ordeal for children, Hajar, at just 3 years old, already knows how to bear her pain with patience 😪
She has now reached the stage of liver cirrhosis!!
Hajar must undergo a living donor liver transplant to avoid certain death. 🚨
This is why we are asking for your help to raise the necessary funds. The procedure is not performed in Morocco, and the state does not cover medical care abroad.
Hajar was able to start school this year, but at her stage, it is not certain that she will be able to start the next school year, her father confided to us.
Hajar loves going to school 🎒✍️
We must raise the funds to finance Hajar's care because her family does not have the financial means to prevent the worst.
If we manage to raise the necessary funds, Hajar will travel to Turkey to receive a new liver.
The campaign covers the costs of the surgery, as well as any extra costs should Hajar encounter complications. Hajar will receive follow-up care for many months post-operatively in order to monitor her condition and prevent any thrombosis or infection, as is often the case.
The surgery is very complex, both for the donor and the child.
We need your solidarity. Thank you to everyone who takes part in this campaign. Remember, there are no small donations 💚
