Due to the urgent and critical condition of Gobali Rahaf, an 11-year-old girl suffering from liver cirrhosis, we urgently ask for your support to help us take charge of her case.
Gobali Rahaf, 11 years old, Ain Fakroun Municipality, Oum El Bouaghi, Algeria province, is followed at the Mansoura Constantine children's hospital under the supervision of Professor Ben Sherif Madani.
Given the family's dire financial situation, this little girl has no chance of ever receiving a living-donor liver transplant, for which her father is offering to be the donor.
The procedure is financially out of reach for this family, who are tightening their belts and already struggling to afford supportive treatments for their daughter.
This family lives very modestly and is impoverished, yet determined to save their child. Time is running out; years have passed without any real opportunities for support for this family despite their multiple appeals for solidarity, until the mother unexpectedly came across a fundraiser we had successfully completed thanks to your charity.
We therefore received the plea for help from the mother, who expressed her fear of losing her daughter as her condition has suddenly deteriorated in recent weeks.
The little girl is very lethargic with dark circles under her eyes, but was still managing to attend school. However, in light of the latest examinations and medical reports, Rahaf's life is hanging by a thread.
She must be cared for immediately. Rahaf can no longer fully open her eyes (blepharospasm), so alarming is her level of exhaustion. She weighs only 24 kilos and measures 121 cm at 11 years old, and suffers from growth retardation resulting from her pathology.
Rahaf suffers from cirrhosis secondary to progressive intrahepatic cholestasis.
Recently, facial edema with significant abdominal distension, the presence of ascites, and mucocutaneous jaundice prompted her hospitalization in September.
With your support, God willing, we will raise the funds and allow Rahaf and her family to travel to Médical Park, where she will undergo surgery and receive follow-up care for long months.
