Our little boy’s name is Adem Achour. He was born on 8 octobre 2024. He is only a few months old, but every second since his birth has been a battle for his life. For several weeks now, Adem has been hospitalized in the pediatric department of Hôpital Mère-Enfant de Tlemcen.
Adem suffers from a severe, cholestatic, and extremely complicated liver disease. Every day, we watch him fight this disease that is wearing down his little body, and we feel, helplessly, all the anguish and fragility of this struggle.
His condition has worsened: he struggles to breathe, he is exhausted, his body is weakened... The doctors told us what no parent should ever hear 👉 our son's life is at risk.
Adem’s only chance, according to the medical team and the head of the pediatric department, is an absolute emergency liver transplant. The surgery is possible in Turkey. Without this last-chance operation, we risk losing our child. We are ready to do anything for Adem.
A compatible donor had to be found quickly. And as a mother, I naturally offered to be the donor. The doctors accepted. Seeing our son heal has become our only reason to live.
But the reality is that a transplant is very expensive, far beyond our means, our resources, everything we have.
The association SOS Greffe volunteered to organize and secure the CotizUp fundraiser, to guide us through the process, and to ensure that every donation goes directly to Adem's medical care.
